If you’ve been waiting to buy a new Toyota, the next 12 months might be the perfect time to open your wallet. Toyota KirloskarMotor is gearing up for a significant offensive in the Indian market. While the brand is currently riding high on the success of the Hyryder and the ever-dominant Fortuner, sources suggest that the company is planning to launch at least four new models by the end of next year.
From a next-gen SUV that will set new benchmarks to a long-awaited electric vehicle, here is everything you need to know about the specifications, expected features, and launch timelines of the upcoming Toyota cars.
1. The Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner
The Fortuner is practically a legend in India. It doesn’t just sell; it dominates. However, with rivals like the new Scorpio-N and the upcoming Safarifacelift stepping up their game, Toyota is preparing the next generation of its flagship SUV.
Platform: Expected to move to a new, lighter, and stiffer ladder-frame chassis (TNGA-F platform), which currently underpins the new Land Cruiser 300.
Engine: The reliable 2.8L diesel is expected to continue, but with a power bump—likely pushing close to 200 bhp. A strong hybrid variant is also rumored to be in the works to meet stricter CAFE norms.
Design: Expect a much boxier, muscular stance. Think “mini Land Cruiser.” The interior will finally get a massive touchscreen (likely 12.3 inches) and a fully digital cockpit.
Launch Timeline: While the global debut is expected by late next year, the India launch might slip to early 2026.
2. Toyota Camry (Next-Gen)
The Camry is Toyota’sluxury sedan ambassador in India. While sedans are struggling in the mass market, the premium sedan segment still has takers. The new Camry is expected to continue its legacy of comfort and efficiency.
Powertrain: The upcoming Camry will likely go all-hybrid. We expect the 5th generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS), combining a 2.5L petrol engine with a more powerful electric motor.
Fuel Efficiency: Expect an impressive mileage figure of 23–25 km/l, making it one of the most fuel-efficient premium sedans on sale.
Features: It will borrow the “Connected Car” tech from the Hyryder and Fortuner, featuring ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) as standard.
Launch Timeline: Likely to debut in the Indian market around the festive season (September–November) this year.
3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder (Facelift)
The Hyryder was Toyota’s entry into the compact SUV segment, and it has done fairly well. To keep the excitement alive against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos (which recently got updates), Toyota is preparing a mid-life facelift.
Front Design: Expect a more aggressive front grille. Toyota might tweak the headlamps and bumper to give it a distinct identity separate from its Suzuki counterpart, the Grand Vitara.
Interior Updates: There are whispers of a larger floating touchscreen (upgrading from the current 9-inch) and maybe ventilated seats on lower variants.
Powertrain: No mechanical changes are expected. It will continue with the 1.5L mild-hybrid (K15C) and the 1.5L strong hybrid (e-CVT).
Launch Timeline: Expected by the end of this year or early next year.
4. Toyota’s First Mass-Market EV (The Urban Cruiser Ebella)
This is the most exciting one. Toyota has been cautious about EVs in India. While they have the bZ4X (which is expensive and imported), the real volume game will start with a compact electric SUV co-developed with Suzuki.
Platform: It is based on the HEARTECT-e skateboard platform. Toyota’s version is officially the Urban Cruiser Ebella, which has already begun its rollout process.
Battery & Range: Expected to come with two battery pack options:
Entry variant: 49kWh battery pack.
Top variant: 61kWh battery pack aiming for a range of 540+ km (ARAI certified).
Size: It is a compact SUV, roughly the same size as the Hyryder/Creta, targeting the mass-market electric segment with a bold “Hammerhead” design.
Launch Timeline: Official price announcements and wide availability are hitting showrooms throughout early-to-mid 2026.

Poora Review Hinglish Mein
Bhaiyon aur behno, Toyota waalo ne agle saal tak 4 naye gaadiyan launch karne ka plan banaya hai! Abhi jo Fortuner hai, wo toh already road pe “baap” hai, lekin nayi wali aane waali hai—aur bhi powerful, aur bhi luxury. Camry bhi nayi aayegi jo petrol se zyada paani se chalti hai, itni solid mileage degi. Aur jo sabse bada news hai, wo hai Toyota ka pehla proper electric SUV (Ebella) jo Suzuki ke saath milkar ban raha hai. Range ka koi tension nahi hai, 540 km+ ka waada hai. Agar aap gaadi lene ka soch rahe ho, thoda wait kar lo. Kyunki Toyota ab full action mein aane waala hai. Pakka car, pakka value, bas thoda sa wait!
